Candidature — Representative for other specialties

I am running to serve as a delegate on the ARM Board of Representatives to serve as a representative for other specialties in academic and syndical matters that shape resident training and wellbeing.

Psychiatry is often categorized as "other" in medicine. Hence, what may optimize a training experience in this field may very well be something "other" than that of most specialties.

Having been the VP recruitment in the McGill Psychiatry program for CaRMS applicants and now taking on the role of VP Psychosocial, I have had the opportunity to become well acquainted with residents across all years of my program. Being from out-of-province, my residency program has been a great basis of my community here in Montreal. I am passionate about bettering the resident experience and would love the opportunity to do so even beyond my program. I am confident I have the aptitudes that would allow me to serve as a proper representative on the ARM. I am committed, reliable, and genuinely interested in participating in the ARM. I hope to represent my colleagues and to contribute to an association that has proven deliberate and diligent efforts towards improving the resident experience at McGill.
