ECGU (Emergency Cardiology Update) is a leading Canadian cardiovascular emergency medicine education program, co-founded by Dr. Alain Vadeboncoeur, that provides practical, evidence-based training in ECG interpretation, cardiac emergencies, and acute cardiovascular care for physicians and other healthcare professionals. ECGU courses are an excellent way to earn Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits while enhancing clinical skills that can be applied immediately in practice.

October 1, 2026 – CAEP-ECGU-911: Critical Cardiac Emergencies (Zoom)
High-impact learning experience designed by and for emergency physicians and acute care clinicians, this full-day interactive workshop focuses on the unstable, high-risk, and easily missed cardiac presentations that can deteriorate quickly in the ED. From heart failure and cardiogenic shock to malignant arrhythmias, syncope, some internal defibrillator-related emergencies, and post-cardiac arrest care. This english version of our GRAVE... et urgent! course is offered with CAEP.

November 6, 2026 – ACS and Friends (Zoom)
A full-day interactive workshop focused on evidence-based ECG interpretation and the diagnosis and management of acute coronary syndromes (ACS), occlusion myocardial infarction (OMI), pericarditis, and common ECG mimics. Participants review real-life cases and high-risk ECG patterns while learning practical approaches to ischemic cardiac emergencies.
