Rime Diany

Candidature — Family Medicine Representative Delegate

My name is Rime Diany, and I am applying for the position of Family Medicine Delegate for the McGill Residents' Association. I am currently a first-year Family Medicine resident at the Jewish General Hospital (Herzl).

I have always been passionate about leadership, advocacy, and public service. I enjoy being supportive and attentive to my colleagues' needs, advocating for their interests, and serving as a reliable resource. As a member of the Board of Representatives, I would work collaboratively with the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors to advance the best interests of our resident community.

In addition to my residency, I am currently pursuing a Master's in Public Administration. This training has strengthened my understanding of organizational governance, public institutions, and effective leadership, and I believe it will help me contribute meaningfully as a delegate.

Throughout my training, I have held a variety of leadership roles that have allowed me to develop strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills. During medical school, I served as a member of the student council, president of a student interest group, logistics manager for the annual fashion show, and treasurer of the prom committee. I also had the privilege of being a member of the Youth Council of Montreal, where I gained valuable experience representing diverse perspectives and contributing to initiatives with a broader community impact.

It would be an honour to represent my colleagues on the Board of Representatives. I am committed to listening to residents' concerns, advocating for their interests, and contributing positively to the Association's work.

Thank you,

Rime Diany
