VP, CAP-S (Pedagogical affairs, specialties)—V.-p., CAP-S (affaires pédagogiques, spécialités)

Dear colleagues,

With a strong commitment to medical education, I am excited to submit my letter of intent for the position of VP Pedagogical Affairs – Specialty. Entrusting me as your representative means choosing transparency and open communication.

During my first year of residency, I have been a member of the ARM Pedagogical Subcommittee, which has allowed me to be informed and engage with your ARM representatives on key issues such as the ELAM French course, and competency-based medical education. I also played an active role in the Internal Review exercise. These experiences have not only exposed me to ongoing topics in academic affairs but have also deepened my interest in taking up a leadership role in this area.

I am a mature resident with several years of academic experience. I have been involved in student life at various levels – as a treasurer during my undergraduate studies and as a board representative during graduate school. I also served as Secretary of the FMEQ in medical school. These roles, combined with previous professional experiences, make me a well-rounded candidate. I am an achiever with a sense for negotiation.

My style of leadership is practical: I will be present and advocate for your interests with sensitivity to the unique aspects of each program. I am organized, and reliable.

In collaboration with the VP CAP Family Medicine, I will continue to strengthen the established relationships with PGME, the FMRQ, and other key stakeholders.

French is my first langage – je suis aussi là pour vous en français!

I am highly motivated to take on the role of VP Pedagogical Affairs and to serve your interests as McGill Residents. I thank you for your trust – I look forward to meeting you!
