Judy Ibrahim
VP, CPEM (Physician resource planning)—V.-p., CPEM (planification des effectifs médicaux)
Dear colleagues,
My name is Judy and I am a PGY3 resident in Medical Genetics. During my residency and previous posts as site chief resident of the JGH, I have developed a strong understanding of the critical role physician resource planning VP plays in the sustainability and equity of our healthcare system. I am excited to apply for the position of VP CPEM within the Association of Residents of McGill, where I hope to contribute meaningfully to planning strategies that align with the evolving needs of patients and providers alike.
Through my training and my work with the ARM in various roles, I have witnessed the challenges related to workforce distribution, access to specialty care, and the need for long-term, data-informed solutions. I am planning to look into the realities faced by current trainees, and prepare us for a healthcare landscape that is both dynamic and diverse.
I bring to this role a detail-oriented mindset, strong organizational skills, experiences of working independently abroad, and a collaborative approach. My background in Pediatrics and current training in Medical Genetics has skilled me to think systemically, integrate complex information, and advocate for patients and peers. As VP CPEM, I would work diligently to represent the voices of residents, advocate for fair and strategic planning, and engage with stakeholders to shape a system that works better for both physicians and the communities we serve.
Yours sincerely,
Judy
