Genevieve Mylocopos
VP, Wellness/V.-p., bien-être
As a Family Medicine resident with a strong foundation in wellness advocacy, I am excited to apply for the role of VP Wellness. I currently serve as the St-Mary’s VP Wellness, where I coordinate events designed to promote community, connection, and a sense of balance within our hospital’s Family Medicine group. My longstanding commitment to wellness is also reflected in my years as President of the McGill Lifestyle Medicine Interest Group, where I focused on promoting evidence-based strategies around key pillars of wellbeing — including physical activity, nutrition, sleep, stress management, and healthy relationships. I was also part of McGill’s inaugural Accessibility Strategy team, contributing to a university-wide roadmap for inclusion and equity. These experiences have shaped my approach to wellness as something deeply personal and multifaceted.
If elected, my goal would be to create initiatives that reflect the diverse needs and preferences of our resident community. That might include fitness or mindfulness sessions, creative evenings like painting, or more relaxed social gatherings — all designed to support connection and restoration in ways that feel authentic and enjoyable.
Importantly, I hope to bring a listening-first approach to this role. By gathering input from peers, I aim to ensure wellness programming is shaped by those it serves, and to advocate for initiatives that genuinely support our wellbeing throughout residency. Je suis prête à m’investir pleinement pour faire du bien-être une force collective et durable au sein de notre résidence. I am passionate about building a culture that values balance, belonging, and holistic health, and I would be honoured to serve as your VP Wellness.
Kind regards,
Genevieve Mylocopos, M.D., C.M.
