(2) Q&A: One45 demystified

2.1 When evaluating a specific staff, will my evaluation remain anonymous?
Yes. Any staff evaluation forms completed by a resident are anonymous.

2.2 Who does it get sent to and when?  When will that staff see them?
Evaluations of staff/faculty can never be viewed or accessed by the staff nor anyone else. If an attending gets a “low performance flag”, the Resident Affairs Office will be notified about it but the form remains anonymous. One45 is designed in such a way that even system administrators cannot see who the evaluator (resident) is. In January, the annual Faculty Evaluation Reports are produced and they include all faculty evaluations completed on each attending, compiled from the previous academic year to insure anonymity. A minimum number of evaluation forms is required to produce the compiled report. This means a single faculty evaluation completed by a resident will never be seen by anyone. These reports get sent to the Program Director and department chair, and then distributed to individual attendings.

2.3 When evaluating a specific rotation, will my evaluation remain anonymous?
Just as for the resident evaluation of faculty, the resident evaluation of rotation also remains anonymous.  If a rotation gets a “low performance flag”, the Resident Affairs Office and the program teaching office will be notified about it.  However these evaluations still remain anonymous.

2.4 When should I complete my One45 evaluations?
As soon as possible! These evaluations are very important in monitoring progress of both attendings and specific rotations and a timely completion can ensure appropriate action and follow up.  Just as you want to be evaluated soon after (or during) your rotation, so do they!
